It was rainy and nasty out, but we still headed out to North Kansas City to make an appearance and to promote the Kansas City Pet Telethon (which is on Channel 38 The Spot tonight from 6:30 - 9:30 PM!)

My Engagement

Last weekend I surprised Lauren during our trip to Colorado with an engagement ring! We haven't set a date yet, but are thinking summer/fall 2011. Here's my favorite pics of the weekend.

DAYS 3-6 ON THE TRIP

Not much to say tonight about the trip, but I hope these pictures will tell you how great of a trip it is.

getting my kicks on Route 66

Day 2 of our trip.  We went down the old route 66 highway to some of its old rundown parts.  Found some cool old gas stations and hotels, an old train wreck.   Then we made it up to Petrified Forest National Park and into the painted desert.  The place was cool, but not nearly what we were expecting for tomorrow at the grand canyon.....but here's what I came up with for today.

KC to Tucumcari, NM

My dad, my brother and I headed west to begin our journey to the Grand Canyon.  I've spent 15 hours in the car today editing pictures and getting things up to date.  These past 2 weeks have been soley devoted to my bathroom update process back home.  Needless to say, but MEbberts Photo has been on hold.  

With that said, I thought I'd share some pictures of my view of the trip from the backseat...enjoy!
